420 Liter, 12mm Thick Glass Tank

HI I am selling my tank, as I want to go bigger but I need the space .
Current dimensions are 120cm x 60cm x 75 cm (water level is at 60cm), will let the Dophin 1600 Bio filter go with the tank, as I want a Sumpfilter in new tank. All Lights And ballist can go with. Tank Have Black Top and Stand (Reinforced the stand.). Glass is 12mm thick, so it can hold big Oscars etc.

Asking Price R3000 neg.

I am loctaed in Pretoria, Annlin. Buyer must come Pick up.

If you are going bigger, why not use this tank as the sump?

i will take some photos tonight. The reason why I am not using as a sump is size. the ank itself is 75cm high, so to squeeze that under the future tank will be dificult as the main tank will then be too high. I want a 2m x 75cm x 80cm (70cm water level.). so the sump will be 2m x 40cm x 40cm. And do you guys feel the price is reasonable?

The members actually aren't allowed to comment on the price if they feel it is unfair, or too high, because this could ultimately land up with you not being able to sell the tank. What a lot of members have resorted to is saying "make me an offer" and then negotiate from there. Obviously the seller wants more dollars, and the buyer wants more tank, so it comes down to negotiating. Taking individual photo's of what you are selling also makes a huge impact because people can actually SEE what they are buying... who knows, maybe the filter on it's own is worth 2/3rds or the price. Unfortunately humans are lazy, we want the photo dumped on our screen.. and not have to go and type "xyz" in google to find it ourselves.

So my suggestion is again, put pictures up. Also bare in mind that the second hand market on fish tanks at the moment is pretty saturated. Just go and look in the junk mail, and gumtree. So sometimes it will take persistance to sell. (Big G has been struggling to sell some of his tanks for a few months now. Slagter has been trying to sell some of his tanks for almost a year now.) The market seems better in JHB, but that could be my perception.

Please keep in mind that a standard 4 foot dimensions are 120cm x 45cm x 45cm (243 Liters) and normally 10mm glass. So mine is Bigger and stronger

Very tough selling tanks now JodyC, even the LPS suffer.
Just give it time and keep looking.
