And just some pics of the guppies. I will pay someone with jelly babies if they can tell me how to take pics of these guys - they are too fast!

Haha @Vez - Yep you win jelly babies! (im a HUGE Firefly fan :p)

Thanks, at the moment I dont fuss with it a lot, just my weekly water changes and adding of flourish and excel when I remember :p More so to give some of the plants a chance, since some of it died down after being added to my tank.

Thanks @varachhia001 - I actually got these guys by swopping the Oranda goldfish that I used to have (started with them) for these guys in total 8 of them. The rest I just cant take pics of.

Ok quick question and I didnt want to start a new thread. What can I do to help the guppies regrow their tails? 2 of the Siamese girls have been taking nips out of the guppies fins. Or would you suggest that I find the 8 guppies a new home? I have to say the aggression in the tank is mainly between the two bigger girls and I suspect the guppies just got caught in "friendly fire" maybe. The guppies havent bothered the girls at all thus far and they are currently doing everything to avoid the girls.

I really would love to keep the tank as is since I love the guppies and the girls. But if I have to I will rather remove the guppies since the girls are the fish that I really love (altho my mum has started calling the one pirana due to her taking bites out of the one guppie - mums fav one :S I know my mum wont be happy to let the guppies go, but in the end I have to do whats best for them.)

Rooibos tea bags will help the fins to heal, but not if they continue to be nipped :worried:

Ill try the rooibos tea, I use it in my male betta tank since he rips his fins when he flares at his snail companion.

@Anine, trust me flaring at his reflection is still fine! Mine has started flaring at the filter pump - mine has an outlet where it used to blow bubbles from but now it just blows water creating a nice current (not that strong tho). My boy swims into the current hovers there flaring at the water that comes out!

I will see if the girls will leave the boys alone soon. I know it can take up to 3 weeks for peace to be attained with these girls. But after 3 weeks if my guppies have tails left I will decide what to do with them. I really dont want to get rid of my guppies tho cos they are beautiful boys.

Quick update here. Tank is filling out nicely with the plants. I've had to swop 2 of the girls out (the two bigger ones) since their aggression was just to much for the tank. Thanks to @Altum for sourcing me two new girls who are stunning altho the one is so camera shy I havent managed to get a pic of her yet. The guppies tails are still looking ragged but I can see the new growth starting, its just taking forever.

Can anyone ID the tall plant on the right in the foreground?

Some final scaping, I think I am finally really happy with the look, its more for the girls so that they have plenty of hiding spots and suddenly I see more of them.

Ive also replaced the light bulbs since they where the ones that originally came with the tank and about 8 or 9 months old at least. Found some T5 8W coolwhite bulbs, only 4000k so will see what the plants do. If they dont like it I will be replacing the 8W tube with a 10W T8 red spectrum and one T5 8W - its the best setup besides going for CFL bulbs that we could come up with.

Thanks, I just need to find way to help the guppies tails heal a bit faster, they are slowly healing but it seems to take a lot longer than the siamese fighters.

Yea, but atleast there healing. Your tank is so crowded with plants and looks so cool. I tried to do this with my 210L but never succeeded because it was just too big.
