Hi, I have four Osram 2x54w electronic ballasts to swop out for some really nice plants. The ballasts are +/- 2years old. 3 of them definitely work as they are currently running ( ie 6 x 54w lights) the 4th one I am not sure of, I dropped it into my tank while trying to connect it up. It was not swithched on at the time ( I was busy trying to wire it up). I immediately dried it off and hung it up in the sun and wind to dry out completely. I cannot quarantee that it still works as I do not know anything about electronic ballasts. There are also 16 "twist and turn" end caps with these ballasts.

I am looking for interesting and "different" plants, preferably not the stuff that you can buy at any LFS. Please bear in mind that I am a beginner at this and do not know how to look after the really exotic plants. My lighting is currently @ 2.5w / gal and there is no CO2 system in place.

The reason that I want to swop out is that I have bought one of those fancy all in one aluminium tank top fittings and no longer need the Osram balasts. I do however need plants!

    My contact details are pixel@tiscali.co.za or 082 4151 714.
