    O.k so I got a 4ft 50 high and 40 wide with cracked bass for R200.

I would like to rebuild this to a 4ft 50 high by 800 wide. Have the glass for the side and front pannels. I only have to get the glass for base.

Here is my delema. I have been using one of the glass calculators on one off the aquarium sites.
Thy recommend 8 ml glass for side glass and 10 ml for bass. The original 4 ft tank were made of 6 ml glass. Will I be safe with the 6 ml glass on 50 cm deep or should I cut down to 40 cm deep. I will brace the tank with the 6 ml glass as well.

I have a 140cm long by 50cm deep and 60cm wide build from 6 ml glass that's been running for 2 years without any problems.

    Any advice will be apreciated.

    hi
i could be wrong but that would need to use the that at lest as the extra width (double wide) means more water = more pressure is been placed on the glass
    just my thought
