Since I am getting serious about breeding my Centromochlus perugiae I decided to give them a nice dark and snug cave system to hide in:

Each hole is 1.5cm wide on every side and 5cm deep. Took about 6 hours to print.

    Already investigating!

Since I put it in this morning only one female has found her way there, the others are holed up in wood or under the pumps. They'll look around tonight for sure

There is currently a fork weighing it down, and I see air bubbles escaping slowly. It sinks eventually :)

Mmm... I see a market opening up for you, custom cave and artificial landscape designs, you can even incorporate gravel/soil pockets for a terrace approach with various plants decorating the cave.

Would be cool, but the authorities above don't want their printer being overused :p

Could you perhaps do shells? That would be very handy for marine and tropical.

I'm sure it would be cheaper to buy shells, these are usually for very specifics :)

From the sales, you could save up and buy your own 3D printer and whatever materials you need. I know it's easier said than done - I need a new PC so I have to save up for it (100 GBP per week until I get 500 GBP - not a easy feat when you have expenses jumping out unexpectedly).

That would take a lot of caves to buy a similar quality printer. I don't know if there are enough pleco breeders in the country :(

Is this def fish friendly? I asked a guy to do some for me a while ago and he mentioned something about it being toxic, or biodrgradable... something along those lines..

ABS plastic is used often in fish tank equipment so as far as I know it is safe. Have used it without issue so far. PLA (Another common filament) is biodegradable since it is made from organic material :)
