The fish will get agoraphobia once you take out the plant mass, if there's even water left in the tank.

Yea Razer is right, I'm guessing 70% of the total volume of the tank is plants.

Hey hey...you guys leave my jungle alone :blink1:

I think you might be correct Danelle. I have a large open space in front of the tank now and all the fish are hiding in amongst the plants

Hehe. And damn, if I had such a nice shoal of cardinals I would show them off. My dad bought me 7 cardinals as a reward for passing all my engineering subjects, pre-exams, and after one day only 3 is left :( No idea why, all the other fish are fine, and the ram pair is also 100%, so I don't think there's something wrong in the water. pH is around 7 too.

I only found 2 bodies, but it's hard to find it in such a planted tank.

Your cardinals were probably lost in the jungle. Looks good but man, do you need to hack those plants away. I would guess your total water volume is less than 200l. :)

It's really not as bad as it looks. The plants are just in the wrong positions. I have hacked some more of the plants!IMG_5854.jpgIMG_5850.jpg

    That's a beutifull tank Hawk.
If bin Laden was a fish and that tank was the middle east, they would have still been looking for him.

What is the name of the bunch of plants in the middle that looks like vallis?

I'm with Dewald, you need some red plants.

And if your to busy to trim the plants, get some big Silver Dollars they'll sort out that Jungle of yours nicely.

DO NOT, do THAT. NO. They are the vegetarian piranhas.

PS he has some plant in there that should go reddish. But I think you refer to plants that are always red like A.reneckii?

My red plants are green due to my tank being overgrown so not enough light and probably not enough iron.

If they ever survive I will make plan. Clearly something is triggering their spawning. Corys, gourami angels, gbr's...all trying to breed. Makes life quite difficult at times.

I think the reason that all the fish are spawning is because of the jungle. They feel safe enough with all the plants and food and optimum conditions to reproduce. I'm guessing. Anyway..... Quadruple congratulations???
