Yes for sure, it is not nice to loose a fish, plants can just be replaced at the end of the day :) lol can only imagine that :) yes that is 100% you can even leave your temp on 27 not needed to drop to 26 its warmer now and the room temps will keep the tanks warmer so heater wont have to go on constantly ...... Enjoy it bud....

Update time, tank is back to 26.5 degrees. Did nice Clean up on Wednesday big water change and cleaned filter Yesterday.
i need to get some more plants since loosing 2 plants due to the high temps.

I also got a new light unit and Plantek tubes. 6500k and 10000k. Thanks looks a lot better now.

I also got my self a quarantine tank and Sarel is the first visitor. Did not want to eat flakes the first few days keeps spitting it out but his eating it now.

I have a quick question, one of the Guppies is sitting on my heater bracket for a week now. His back is slightly bend. I think the last time I saw him eat was on Monday, I have him since the tank started
about 2 months ago. It seems this behavior started after i lowered the thank temperature. The thank temperature was lowered over 4 days 1 degree a day so I don't think its that.

    any ideas?

I had the same with one of my smaller red rainbows, it could be some internal parasite, my rainbow would not be interested in any food and got extremely skinny and weak. had to take him out. you dont have any big fish that would stress him out.. probably just got sick.

    Morning all

Got some new plants over the weekend to replace the ones I lost. Any recommendations for some small plants or ground coverings that would look nice?

    Hi all

Its always nice when you get home from work and find a surprise in the thank. The below plant literally grew roots in just over 24 hours. Not sure what the name is
but never seen this before. Amazing. On a side note, being my first planted tank does this mean I am doing something right :)

Just keep control of it. Often stem plants have a tendency to overrun the tank if allowed to

    That looks like Alternanthera Reineckii.

Many stem plants have the growth habit of forming roots under the leave stems.
You can cut the stems under those root nodes, and replant them, and the new plants should grow.
It is one of the common methods of propagation of stem plants.

    Hi guys

Quick question my Alternanthera Reineckii leaves are turning green. I read some forums and they suggest its lights not strong enough or Co2.
My lights are on 7 hours a day 24w t5 6500k and 24w t5 10000k on 2ft tank I don't think its the lights. I does microbe lift all in one twice a week.
any suggestions? I have another red plant also more green leaves than Red. Any suggestions?

hello JDV, you need to dose micro nutrients iron, most pink lights need crazy strong lights and definitely co2
