I started this hobby around the start of this year, and very quickly became obsessed with it (Just like I do with most things that I do ).

I started off by taking over my dads old 45L tank, where I started with 0 knowledge, and came to these forums for help. @A new day helped me by giving me lots of plants, and everyone helped out with advice.
This was the tank immediately after planting the plants that @A new day gave me.

Soon after that, I rehomed most of the fish originally in the tank, as they were unsuitable for the size of tank, or didn't have big enough school sizes (My dad wasn't very into the hobby, so he had a strange collection of fish)

I stocked the tank up with guppies instead, but that didn't go very well. Unfortunately, the guppies that I bought seemed to be infected with internal parasites (There was a whole thread just trying to work that one out).
Eventually I sorted that all out, and the tank is now happy with 5 guppies, 2 pygmy gouramis and a bunch of neocaradina shrimp who have been breeding prolifically.
    This is the tank now:

Of course, this 45L tank wasn't enough to keep me satisfied, and I ended up also buying a 220L tank (and a 25L for my girlfriend and her betta).
I took offcuts from the original plants that were donated and planted in the 45L, and they're growing super nicely in the new tank. This is what I've got now:

In this tank there is 1 dwarf gourami, 5 kuhli loaches, 5 albino corys, 10 silver tip tetras, 3 black phantoms and 5 cherry barbs, and a bunch of shrimp which I moved over from the 45L.

Tanks are looking great. I love the setup of the 220L.
Its interesting/cool/amazing your shrimp are breeding so well in a tank with guppies and gourami's. I was under the impression both predate heavily on shrimp.
