The building will be photographed and documented with fully DIY steps. That will have its own page on the website. But it will only be placed there after the 18th December.
Still awaiting all the building materiel due to Christmas...

It looks awesome but as some one pionted out earlier what are you going to do to keep the pesky kids and animals way from the pond?
I can't wait to see how this is going to be done... please keep us up to date as you go.

The whole property is under camera's so no steeling.. lol

I was thinking about a steel frame that will be locked over the pond and can be opened for cleaning and catching the fish if needed.

I notice a "step" on the near side of the camera.

Is it simply a case of not being finished yet, or is there a plan with that?

    Just not done yet.

There is no steps just slight slope to far side where drain pipe will be.

Have anybody used Super Laykold to seal koi dams?

What is the best for sealing it?

Everbond is a brilliant waterproofing compound. It was originally designed by the company for the mines, but today is also the leaders in ponds. If I remember correctly from my "working at a hardware days" the Everybond is a membrane free product, (meaning you don' tneed to use the membrane) and it is non-toxic for fish.

    Hi Gebhardt
Did a 5mX1.1mX1.1m Koi display with 2X2,2mX12m toughend front glass panels. I used permabond in the concrete mix and painted the whole thing with 5 coats of Laykold no cloth used, for a smother finish. Works like a charm. There is another product i think it is from duram to seal watertanks. It locks like a laque and is 100% drinkwater safe. But f@@n expensive and it cracks if the concrete underneath gets cracks. If colour is not a broblem, go wth Laykold
