1st attempt @ plants

    moved all the fish around to diff tanks when the aro went and re did the 1.5 .plants have been in a week so far ( a record for me without been eaten) . I think I still need a lot more light and Im sure some of the plants in are not aquatic an planted wrong but Ill get there by trial and error I guess.Comments please ...

    Looks really cool. Like the bogwood/anubias combination and the darker gravel. What are the specs |(lighting, co2, fertilizers etc) ?

    3 standard day glo 36w tubes 1 blue marine tube.lights on 7 to 7,no co2 .
    still want to add moss to the rocks and more jave fern, but must still justify stealing the better lights from my other tanks

    hanks .want the plants to cover the top of the wood eventualy.
    Is there such a thing as putting to many plants in a tank or should one be patient and wait for them to grow out

    i got some bad news mate - those big anubias are Anubias congensis - they need wet feet but dry leaves. they will rot if you keep them underwater for too long

    thanks Henk will put them in the pond outside and go plant shoping again tomorrow (at a dif lfs) will the small ones take ,tied down to the wood as they are now ?

    cool thanks ,have them tied down with fishing gut and some of the roots going thru holes drilled in the drift wood ? >
