1st attempt at a 2ft Dutch tank :)

    hey guys..

    always wanted to try my hand at this! so here goes!!

    heres my secret subs mix.. want to try it out.. hopefully it will cover my NPK, Tracers and Iron :)

    some specs:
    - Standard Daro 2ft tank (very good size i must say)
    - Secret Subs mix
    - inert aquarium 101 gravel
    - Co2-->yes
    - EI dosing
    - 4x24w t5's
    - Lots of plants
    - Filtration--> none for now just a pump

    a 2ft is a awesome size! as for the tank! its gona look good in a few months!

    @shihr - Naughty,naughty Dude!!! Showing us pics of the "Secret Subs Mix" but not elaborating...Hmmnnn...

    Pics 20 years ago of Dutch planted systems(They where the only realy well planted ones out then...Dang,we've come far!!!) is what got me into planted tanks - still have an acute fondness for them + you REALY get to play around with stems and all the magnificent colours one can produce...

    This is going to look sooo good!
    If I didnt have such a love/hate relationship with stems, this would be my route too!
    Is it your intent to put in a filter, or are you planning on seeing how well the tank does without it first?

    i know i can get excellent growth with just that pump.. if its going to just be a planted tank then i usually dont put in a filter.. only when i want to put in fish do i add a filter.. in my planted only nanos i only have a powerhead.
