Is someone wanting to go slightly more high tech than what you are at the moment?

A bit off topic, sorry for the hi-jack.

What is the difference between the ones @azurekoi is talking about and the ones you can get at builder or similar?

Not to sure about the ones that Builders suplies @Firefly,but can tell you that it all boils down to the colour spectrum of the bulb...dont think the ones from builders will quite do the trick in an aquatic environment...Also,dont think the Builders salesman will be able to answer any of your questions about using their units in an aquatic environment...lol

Sometimes it IS worth paying that rand or two more for an item in an LPS than from a company that supplies something "simmilair" in a non related field...
