1300x500x650 Custom Tank

Hi

I need a price on 1300x500x650 glass tank.
Will only fill tank to 600.

 

How thick are you going to make the tank glass? It will massively affect the cost. Is the 650 the depth and is it to be a planted tank? Planted guys suggest around 450/500 deep because of lighting.

 

I'm leaving the thickness to the builder to decide. The 650mm is to the top of the rim. Will only fill to 600mm.
Does the sponsors usually reply to these requests?

Mailed some of the suppliers and nothing back yet since Friday. :shot:

 

Phone local shops in and around your area, you may have better luck.

 

This is a complete joke! Over a week and not a single response from a sponsor!

 

Yeah I do realize that they have a business to run but then again this is ignoring business knocking at your door.

 

This forum is the perfect opportunity for them to grab customers and being so "easy" to ask questions etc business will soon follow.
I will prob have to wait another week before getting an answer.

Maybe you need to post the request on FatBook... since sponsors prefer to post to the forum via that, reason stands the have no need to access TASA anymore.

I dont agree at all.....if you sponsor a forum, a place where you post new shipments, products or whatever on a regular basis, it surely isn't that difficult to respond to a request via the forum.....point is this - Other members cannot openly recommend another shop and/or details because it would interfere with forum sponsors and the terms they sponsor the forum under....hence via the forum I have to adhere to certain rules, yet would not get a reply via a sponsor on here more often than not? Not really fair if you ask me, and makes one think whether this section of the forum is really relevant.
I personally have been waiting for an email from a sponsor for close on a month - after phoning them, being asked to email my request with a promise of an answer shortly....its no wonder I found what I needed elsewhere.

 

unless they trying to put some quotes together for glass before they get to you? problem with SA is all we need is one public holiday and everything gets placed on hold for a week prior and a week post holiday lol

 

You may mention non-sponsor names, just not give out contact details or advertise prices for them. It goes without saying that you obviously shouldnt put that type of information onto the forum under the sponsor request section.

Most of our sponsors are line item specific so not into tank building. The lps sponsors would respond faster and more effectively if you were to contact them.

 

Both adriaand and myself have done exactly as you've said here with zero service.....I looked and found what I needed elsewhere.

 

Maybe I should advertise my services (website design)on the forum for tank builders.
A swop service... a tank for a website. Then everyone on the forum will be able to respond to these sponsor requests.

For example: any fish products or livestock will sell easier on this forum than in Junkmail or gumtree because people
on the forum is already into the hobby.
