Thanks Derrick, looked at this last year - cost is about R1500 each, cant remember if that includes delivery and VAT...

but no, I want the closed top type so no goggas gets in and also no evaporation as it will be heated.

wont a normal JoJo do then, its what most use to store water, all my uncles farms have them for storing water for cattle, sheep, fire emergencies, for the houses, we had some at a house near bloedrivier, my cousin has a few to store water for his bottling plant, its a reliable type container, no steel frames etc needed

the idea with the these squarish white 1000L containers is that I will have space above them for storing other stuff... with the jojo tanks it becomes quite a space hogger both the vert and horizontal options...

PS: was looking at your photobucket today - very nice tanks/pics there!

oh, right, okay i see the prob then.
i know my cousin has some of those 1000+ tanks with the steel frames as well, bolted onto a few rovers with petrol engine pumps that become the farm firetrucks during winter fire-season

maybe you'll find those tanks at a kooperasie?

(ps, thanks, i like fooling around with a camera, so i get a bit carried away with tank pics, if i had funds i would get into the photography hobby, luckily so far i havent added that leach to my pocket yet:D )
