1 foot (tall) Betta or Neon tetra planted tank

    Hey oky so im building a 1ft Tall (23x23x30) tank for a Betta Or a couple of neon's i have a dolhpin H-100 and a 50W heater going to be using 2 CFL bulbs 11W 6500K White , Eco complete substrate ... willl be posting pics soon Betta or neons ???

    Yeah neons are build for swimming and here they won't have the space
    to do so.

    I vote for Threadfin rainbows...or Galaxy rasboras...or a little Brackish nano with a pair of Bumblebee Gobies.... - but then again,would ake a better home for a betta than a small school of Neons....

    Oky then id Go For a Betta ? Finnished the tank today it had a Small small Leak ... :'( but will fix it up ... going to potch tommorw then i can get some plants and a nice betta :) ....

    Oky ive got some pics Donno if i Should add plants i like the kinda "dry" desert look ... But i Also like a planted look What do u guys think

    you will have a good looking little tank.

    Hi arnold did you buy the CFLs in potch? If so where? I'm looking for 6500k cfls but there seems to be none in potch.

    ... quite possibly bacopa or maybe Micranthenum umbrosum? google those two? but sorry, I'm pretty sure that isn't glosso. Chances of getting glosso in LPS just about 0!

    Yep, looks like one of the Bacopa to me.
    Need bright light. I haven't had much success with it in the past. But you might have better luck in your nano.

    awh well ... lol but still a cool plant it can grow Outside water too ... that kinda cool haha ... this cant be used as a carpet can it?

    Nope. It's definitely not a carpet plant. But most aquarium plants will grow out of water... They just need their roots to be kept wet.

    It's definitely Bacopa. No doubt about it.
