1.5m fish tank builders

I want to get a fish tank(1.5m x 65cm x 65cm) and a stand about 90cm high.Where is the best place in Cape Town to get a tank and stand built?
What glass thinkness must i ask for? and +/- what will the cost be?

You can try phoning rolly/ie's aquarium, don’t have the number now, if you call panorama pet shop, they can help you, with the number and the order.

As for the thickness they work it out according to your measurements, but it will probably be 10mm. I called them last week for a price and they said it's about R2500 for that size tank; mine was a bit smaller though, so you’re looking at R2500 - R3000.

As for the stand I'm not to sure. Perhaps check on Gumtree, you can get nice tanks on there.

The guy still has the tank and he email me pic and the tank looks to be in good condition

 

if i had the space i would have bought that 3m tank...but if you want someone to build you a tank, il recommend Naziem...he builds good tanks that will last..he sometimes builds tanks for petshops too if i recall correctly..Pm me if interested

 

If you want someone that is not going to mess you around, BS you, etc etc etc the guy would be Frans from Dorry Pet. he is busy doing work for me on a new system and the man knows whats going on

 

When I was in cape town three weeks ago I saw Sam's had a 2500 x 500 x 500 tank advertised for R1500.00 which I thought was a brilliant price. Not to sure if its a new tank or second hand.

 

did you see the glass thickness?

 

Even if it had the right glass thickness, I'd doubt it would have enough silicon to hold it together!!
