No idea what tree it is. So far no losses on the fish so i reckon it is safe.
Personally I don't mind tannins, it gives a natural look, and with time it will fade.
Intake on the tank causes a lot of water break and thus a lot of oxygen. Sump has in: Filter floss and sponges for mechanical filtration bioballs...

So the sump has been connected and all running nicely. Stump leeched a ton of tannins, and had to put on extra lighting to penetrate to the plant...
