    The dyke (noooo Pierré) along the IJssellake has to be reinforced.
    On this spot they decided to make a citybeach by suppleting sand along the dyke.
    In Dutch we say "Twee vliegen in één klap" = "Hitting two flies in one blast:

    I high summer we have some. Most water isn't really stagnant though and also we've good cold winters here which the parents will not all survive hahha.

    Yes they do - beautiful! What is the significance of the meterage signposts? Original extent /depth of the river?

    Normal water level is around 3,50 m. (at this moment it is 3,24 meters). The signs point the high waterlevel in the specific years causing floods in several places along the Rhine.[​IMG]
