Want to get one as well. I know a few of my studio dwelling friends use them. Shoot and view what was shot. Just sorry that you do not get one in MicroSD form yet. Would love to have one in my GoPro...

Collecting an 8Gb and a 16GB tomorrow if all goes according to plan, but plans changes - at least the order is in ;-) Now that they have a desktop client for the Mobi version of the cards it seems like a good deal.

setup on PC and android device was simple .. but currently you can only sync to either of the two devices so what is synced to the PC will not also be available on the Tablet when you select that device.

Had a bit of an initial issue, seems like I had two stuck images form a failed PC sync that put the eye-fi into a loop ... simple solution was to sync then down via the table then everything seemed to work OK

Battery is another story running the wifi on for 30 min while stuck in that loop took 70% of the pentax power. What is nice and what I will try now is 1) load a fresh battery then use the IR remote from the note 8 to control the pentax but auto upload the images to the PC

The goal is still to do under water shots uploaded to the PC without removing the camera from the tank.

Nice, keep us posted. I would also be interested to see whether you can get a wifi signal out of the water. With water being conductive, you should in theory not be able to get a signal out unless you are really close to the glass.

Well initial test are in .. wifi in the water works well to the note 8, about 2 meters away so so on the PC with a cheap USB wifi tp-link. IR work very well into the tank both front and back sensor - but need to replace battery since that is empty.

Next will be more playing then a test to see how long a battery last with total automated shooting every X seconds.

After playing a few days with two cameras the Pentax WG3 that is 100% eye-fi compatible - can switch the wifi via menu etc and the Fuji X10 eye-fi works but no way to control it. I must say I am disappointed in the desktop transfer software for windows.

Images get stuck - loads of retries on downloads etc.

On the other hand the android app works like a charm. Would I recommend this in general - no, but if your cameras have a good battery life or you can manage them via good integration it becomes an option. If you only have a PC and no mobile device - I would say wait for an upgrade on the desktop transfer software, V2 almost works, but has issue.

I will keep on playing, maybe I am doing something stupid.

Side not I am leaving the cards in both devices and will work on improving my workflow with them.

    Sweet, thanks
Still waiting to hear from our sales team.
And hope that it works with Mac. Not in the mood to install Photoshop on my PC at home.

PS what did you pay. See they are still rather expensive at Esquire. Can get a 500GB HDD for about the same price...

1150 or something like that for both - yeah was from esquire - still cheaper than some of the online shops. PS the PRO's software is not available on Google APPS store in ZAF ...

So the eye-fi uploads picture of the SD card to a tablet or PC .. not all cameras have wifi.

The desktop software is really so so ... and yes I can grab the images of with a android phone or table or my minx, but sometimes I really do not want to leave the warm fish room to find a device when the desktop software refuses to playball.

    So I made another plan

    Virtualbox + android x86 4.4 + a USB Wifi adapter.

So at a real pinch I can get to the images if need be.

So some indication on battery usage on the pentex - did shots 2267 - 2419 on single charge and transfer via eye-fi to PC ... this was typical fish room pics some with flash other no. 80% of the time eye-fi was on to upload images to the PC ASAP. Looking at this I think I am taking a 30% hit on the battery more or less.
