There not very big say about 12-14cm but they pick at the guppies till they get a good hold of it and then swallow :D

But luckily all my angels are different colors, so the tank looks fuller, but its actually very empty :D

@HennieRoux - They are normal ramshorn and either pond or bladder snails. I'm leaning towards bladder snails as pond snails will apparantly decimate your plants which mine don't seem to do. I'm not particularly fussed by the snails as they are helping to keep my tank clean. When they get out of hand I catch them with my fish net (When the lights come on they are normally all on the glass).

Regarding the loach, I have never kept them so don't know about their compatability with my fish or how big they get.

My guppies chased my angels around so much they were hiding in the corner and ended up dying. My first and last attempt at Angels...

I will do more research into breeding them. I'm completely stumped as to why they do this!

Maybe set up a completely separate tank. Like a 3ft barebottom with a piece of slate or wood for the eggs and see what happens.

Hey @Hawk, I was reading an article on angels and I found this, maybe it is why they breed so often etc.:

"As a cold blooded animal, angelfish will live longer at lower temps. Higher temperatures will promote faster growth, more frequent breeding, better immune system response and shorter life spans."

Thanks @FishLover - I've heard/seen this comment before. I will drop the temp soon if I don't have any success.

Thanks guys. Yup...it's been a bit of a mission with plants floating in what ever space I have available whilst I try to sort the tank out. You can't see the colour in my tank in those pics but here is one I took with the flash on:

Thank you very much @Dinky. I'm suffering with collectoritus so too many plants and not enough tank space! I currently have the 300l, 100l and a 60l but could do with another 3 or 4 100l's. This tank has only been up and running since about September last year, I only started keeping fish in January last year and my first planted tank in about July so things have progressed quite rapidly. Very chuffed
