Grrrrr I would love that stuff, but the GF says nope, natural... With a bit of meds maybe :hmmmm: .. Did saw those fansy co2 stuff is quite expencive, but when I am big one day........ :argh:

The meds for the tank or the GF - if the latter I am almost sure that is illegal ;-)

CO2 is so worth it .... even if you go DIY, but stay clear of those sub 100g CO2 bell diffuser stuff, I think that is to much of a gimmick.

How does CO2 impact pH levels ?

 

It lowers PH , mine droped from 7.8 - 7.6 in about a week

 

WOW....you must have had pretty high pH

I should re-phase my question. Does the pH swing around dramatically ? If you had livestock that had a specific pH range, would need to know how CO2 effects the water column pH IE: percentage wise or units

 

Im no expert on this so also learning . My PH is 7.8 normal from tap as all my tanks are running 7.8 . I know PH isnt something to mess with, i hear or read it can lower to 6.5 and coral prevents it from dropping to low. So i hope someone will explain beter so i can learn aswell. Dirk had a nice tread of this on apsa, but i couldnt understand it all that good. Will try to look it up
