    No worries

    1)I would use 4x36w tubes over a 3ft on 8-10 hour times
2)You would most definitely need CO2 to get this type of growth
3)I would start with gloss as a first carpet
Use EI dosing with good light and CO2
Make sure that you use a good substrate for carpeting plants.
use double the filtration that your petshop recommends for that size tank.

    Hope this helps

I planted the tonia, downoi, and broad leaf on the 24th Dec when you were in V-town.

Your new planted tank is looking good dood...just needs some CO2

Going to take the Co2 off the big one and replant it. Add the Stellatus, which is doing well and the Aromatica. It should take off from there.

gorgeous and just makes me more excited to get my new 1.2m home and set up. im thinking of using swords as a background and watersprites in one corner around a rock cavern il assemble from grey granite and then anubias in the opposite corner with some sort of short grassy plant, microsword mabe or guppy grass? and id kill for some sort of moss or carpet effect in the very front and middle of the tank. pieces of wood and 2 more rock features will hopefully complete it. im guessing im going to have to look at getting a CO2 setup going for this tank, itll only be my second planted tank. the tank itself is still at work as it doesnt fit into the back seat of my honda but i brought home the oak lid today ill ask very nicely if one of my folks could cum pick it up in the buckie lol iv also got to look at getting a lighting system. this weekend hopefully will see it home n looking for a gud place to set it up

That would be Pogostemon helferi or Downoi as it's commonly known. Wish I had some.
