    Yesterday I saw these loaches at my lfs, the dark one with the lighter stripes I had never seen before.
    I know the big guy is a clown but what are the other 2?

    I also saw these silver dollars and some of them had these speckles on them.

    I wondered if this is a specific species or just a colour trait they show when young?

    The smaller one had the most spots (unfortunately he was the fastest which meant bad pics) while there was also the big one with some spots.

    Sorry for bad quality

    The pictures are not too clear and other responses may be correct --- Those look like ordinary Silver Dollars, which are known to have dark patches rather than spots. Spotted Silver Dollars spots are more clear, especially when viewed with the larger photo. The loach does look like the Yo-Yo Loach possibly with the lines out of position - if you have place, buy it - none like that seen before. Then the other brown with stripes looks like the Khuli loach

    @Good_Times

    Pic 1 - Not a Yoyo,but a sub adult Botia rostrata or Gheto loach - intermediate phase between the vertically striped juveniles to the "chain-like" pattern observed in adults....

    Pic 2 & 3 - Garra flavatra - Panda Garra..... nice fish!

    I looked at Metynnis maculatus & Metynnis lippincottianus but in both species the spots seem more pronounced.

    So commen silver dollars are known to have spots/patches?

    May not be, but the Khuli refers to the third fish!
