I have recently introduced spyro gyro into my pond outside (accidently) and it is going crazy. Are there any techniques to reduce this without harming my fish, maybe increasing the salinity. Will draining the pond be the only option.
Thanks![]()

An Algaecide is the only way mate - go to your Pond specialist.... Crystal Algae Clear works like a bomb and wont harm Pond plants... Pondclear also good, but can harm water lillies and lotus...
Do a nice big waterchange before the treatment and switch off the UV while treating - Draining the pond wont do anything - spores will re seed it and loo the same after a week or so... Have seen it proliferate at salt levels of 7kg per thousand,so that is also futile...
If Horticulturists have Green Thumbs, does that mean I have Fishfingers?....
