    Question Green Spotted Puffer Fish

Hey. My Green spotted puffer fish is in a 60L tank at this stage while i am waiting for 120L to arrive...

Now i just want to know if a 400L/hour internal filter would work in the 60L tank?

    400L/Hour = 6.6 cycles/hour...

Would it not create to much flow for Peanut????

And would it be advisable to maybe buy a larger/stronger filter that i could just transfer to the 120L when i get it???

    Dude

I have a 600l/h internal in my 430l tank, and it’s a bit heavy for fish, if it put it on max, my fish are all over the place!
Always in need of another tank!

And if i disperse the current? Would it work then or should i rather go with a smaller filter?

I would go for a smaller filter.
With that sort of flow rate the poor fish will be plastered to the glass

My understanding is that a flow rate should be 3 x the volume of the tank / hour.
So that would make it 180L/H, say 200L/H would be what I would aim for.

I think a 400L/H would be a little to much, maybe 300L/H. Basically what you can do is add some sort of thing to make the current flow the other way or down. My bro got a little thing to change the flow of his filter with a cascade.

Ok... And what if i use one of those cascade extensions that makes the water fall back into the tank? I don't know exactly what it is called...

That would be perfect, as it doesnt create current, but adds bubbles. Look at picsPhoto_00016.jpgPhoto_00017.jpgPhoto_00018.jpg
