    Question please

Bargain for all the thing's you got with it! If you take all your water and add new water i do believe it should be right? I usually let the tank stand at least for a few day's in a new tank. For the new driftwood make sure you put it in a bucket to soak it up and let the tannins start to release. Speed it up by regular water changes and boil it twice.
Can be a nice planted / community tank!
    Black background a super plus!

hi mate. congrats on the new tank. looking good. if you transfer the media from your old filter to the new one then, you will not have a problem. as long as you do not let it dry out you will be fine. put old media in to a bucket of tank water with an air stone then move all the fish plants etc.

@ Dash , might do the Diy potting soil but worried about if I add more plants later on I will disturb the Potting mix.But will see what happens. Also need to know where to get clay from and how much to add into the mix @f-fish height is around 1100 now , gonna bring it down to about 800 - 900.

Congrats on the great buy!! And that tank looks brand spanking new!!! Whats your reasoning behind making the stand shorter? As i actually want to make mine higher...bending over everytime to see some fishies aint fun...

or add another shelf then you can get 2 x 2ft tanks under it with little effort.

@Kula - bringing it down to viewing height for my little one , + easier to do water changes for me , and clean gravel instead of standing on chairs and stools.
@f-fish , I could have a very angry wife if i add those 2 more tanks.

Guys what about lighting , I was thinking of going for 2 x 39 watt T8s as the T5 units are quiet pricey.

Will probably go pressurised C02 in the near future when I change substrate later on.

@ Heihachi Yep saw the other piece , but didn't take it cos it would have crowded the tank.
