Thanks @Singularity, will try to age more water from now on.. just need to get more buckets and find a way to store them! Very limited on space at the moment!

Also thank you @azurekoi, some interesting reading there.. Saw Prof mention the tablets you can get from a pharmacy? May have to go to our local and see...

When you get rid of it, consider upping your temp to 29 (if it is suitable for your fish) - that should prevent it from coming back.

lso had an outbreak a while ago and LPS told me to just up water to 30'C and add "aquamaster rapid white spot remedy" accordingly. Leave tank for 3 days and add remedy again. Also add lost of salt to tank. in a weeks time mine went away... Apparently its common the get WS as the seasons change now...

Hope you get it sorted soon

@AquaAddict this tank will be a full Betta tank once our 430L tank is cycled and the Swords & Catfish have moved out, so I'll just put the temp to 29 then Thanks!

Thanks @WillemNicolaas, I just gave the 'worst off' fish a salt bath and put a little bit more salt into the tank for the rest of them. Don't really want to add any more meds yet, will go to the vets tomorrow to get a script for the Flagyl and see what he says about the two meds working together and what to do.. If he says just leave as it is then it's fine with me, but I'm definitely getting the Flagyl for next time! (I HOPE there's no next time!!!!!!!)

Thanks for all the advice guys You're all awesome!

EDIT: Also, for those that don't know we have some baby swords in the tank in a breeding net, so I'm also having to watch what I put into the water! They'll be a week old on Friday so being as careful as possible!

@Cookie the tablets from the pharmacy works very well. It is metranidazol or a generic of this. It is a s 4 medicine which means you need a prescription, but if your pharmacist knows you well enough he will give you some pills without a script.
