ok, so i had this outside tank setup months ago..

since it was an experiment tank, i did some experiments :P added redjasper substrate with underlaying garden soil..no lights, no ferts, no filter, no heater..

all i had in there was JAVA moss that i had no place for and some javafern on wood that i didn know what to do as well..some snails snuck over during the move.. weird how they survived joburg winter.. anyways.. i didnt know what to do with this tank.. so i just left it to do its own thing..

then recently, my bonsai of 3yrs died on me during winter :'( was actually neglect on my part..

anyways, since the tree was all dried out for months now, i decided to let it live on in some other way :P

i put it in my pond and it sank to the bottom.. so i left it there for about 3 wks..

well this is what i did.. i dont know what will happen to this wood.. only time will tell..

anyways, tell me what u think..

also, the water is pretty clear untill i move anything around, do a water change.. etc..

u guys think i should put in a mini filter and remove the sludge? or let it be? also, i got a small glosso in there to see if it'll do anything.. if not, ima try some star grass etc..if the ground cover takes over, im sure it'll 'burry the mud'?

Hi Guys
I have 3 tanks for sale, 2 of them are standard 4ft tanks (1.2m x 45cm x 45cm) they have built in "Sumps".
both these tanks come with Heater, Sump Pump, Stand and a black plastic lid.
both tanks are in good condition. I would like R700 for each tank but it is negotiable

then I have 1 tank that is 1.2m x 45cm x 60cm.
the water level is at 50cm and it is ready for a sump system.
the tank come with a stand. I would Like R600 fr this tank it was one of the SADE tanks I bought from Chris and I just don't have the space for it.

These tank are for collection but if you want me to take it up to JHB or PTA it will cost an extra R200 for petrol.

Hey guys

Please can you help ID my discus. I know she's a female, and I suspect she is a red turquoise discus but just want confirmation.

Also, I was thinking about trying to breed her, as she has already spawned twice in about a month or 2, and doesn't have a mate. How easy would it be to find an adult that she will accept and pair off with? Is it possible to introduce a younger, but not juvenile discus and let it grow to her size and mate with her, or would it have to be a male adult already?

Now the scary question... would could that set me back?

Also, those vertical black bars that come and go.... are they what people refer to as stress bars? The things that indicate a dominant fish, or not?
