Hi Everyone

Just a little info about me and what I am planning.
I am from Cape Town ,been keeping marine's and freshwater for a long time.
Recently took a break from marines and decided to start over with a Discus planted aquarium.
I will be setting up in the next few months and will be looking for some assistance .
So far the only thing that I managed to decide on is the tank, sump and lights.

Welcome Puppy. I can't wait to see your new project. Obviously I have seen your Marine setup on MASA. You are kindof a celebrity in Cape Town. Glad to see you doing a discus tank.

Thanks everyone.
I know pictures are boss.I will make some effort soon.

Update on tank:
The tank is now running for about a month now.
Size is 1.2x700x700 (12mil)
I am making use of a sump for filtration and for the hiding of equipment.
Size is 1.0x500x500 (8mil)
Return pump is an AM 3500
Substrate 60kg of Sachem Flourite Dark.
Crushed shells in sump.
CO2 system is not connected yet, but it's being prepared as we speak.
Current lights is 2x150watt MH and 2x24 watt T5's.
I will be changing the lights sometime in the next few months.

I had some issues with the color of the water caused by drifwood, but purigen seems to have resolved the problem.
Stabilizing the Kh and Ph is now next on the agenda.
