Hi guys i am still a noob at tank skaping but i thought i would show my 4ft. All the plants are still new and need to grow in abit. The roof tile has been taked out and some moss hass been placed on the wood

nice man.. the plant guys will have lots of advice for you im sure.I find with the fish i have they just get eaten to quick, what fishies you have in there..

2xHerotilapia multispinosa
1xred african Jewel
1xPanaque maccus
Theres still lots of space , i want to go mainly for dwarf cichlids though. I dont think the jewels got much longer....
dwarfs are the way to go, nice tank hey!

Some tips...
Move the Java Fern to the middle somewhere, not right infront of the tank
Can you post a close-up shot of those 3 'stompie' plants in the front-left?
The Limnophilla in the middle should be moved to the back of the tank
That plant at the right-back that's leaning towards the right....looks like an outdoor plant
Maybe a few nice crypts will be nice in there, especially foreground & middle

Thanks for the tips , i got the day of so i can work on it abit :) I will post pics of those stompie plants abit later :P my malawi's got there hands on them and they only just recovering. If you are talking about the stringy green plant leaning against the rock its fake :P my fish really like it so i left it in
What filter are you running there reafer?

i'll be needing a filter soon so i might take your route and build a filter
Cool , it works really well it keeps my system spotless . I made the post for anyone thats on a tight budget like me :) and i find all the fun is building the stuff .
