Hey. I'm curious about the Colisa lalia...

Ok so i know that they get about 5-8cm in length are red orange with blue stripes and that they breed in bubble nests...

Can anyone tell me about what tank size they need, feeding habits and so on...

Just for interests sake has anyone bred with these before?

Any help on this?

My very first 3ft tank I got in the mid nineties... I got a pair of Dwarf Gouramis, the real colours too, not the ugly strains you find today. They were in the tank for 3 days and they spawned. I was very new to the hobby, but that is what got me hooked on breeding. I never could raise any fry...

They are stunning little fish. Just remember that if they breed, the male will batter the female if there is not enough room for her to hide. I would say adding them to a minimum of a 90cm tank would be best. Just for "in case" they breed.

Generally very easy to keep, very peaceful to other fish (just not each other sometimes), easy to feed (Flakes, Brine Shrimp, Blood Worms, etc) Stunning fish!
