Slojo I have found that if you take them out of the tank and into the freezer for a few days, they stay very still :)
Try a faster shutter speed on the camera

Zafgak – your advice sure make taking photos much easier, but due to the colors of the fish fading, it makes identification a little difficult. :wondering:
Bloody hell, seems almost identical to my lot.
Must have come from the same place :)
no1 is labidochromis careleus aka electric yellow.
no 2 is dimidiochromis compressicep...a piscivore...so watch any small fish you add..this guy will be having them for supper
no 3 is not a malawi cichlid...its a cichlid from lake victoria..part of the rift lake region...so generally fine with your malawis...looks like hap 'flameback' with subdued colouring...if it colours up,,it is one awesome looking fish
no 4 and 5 are victorian cichlids too..looks like either hap obliquidens or hap latifasciatus...try taking pics without the blue light on or add a nice white light to your tank..blue lights alone washe out colours on certain fish.
no 6 ..sciaenochromis fryeri ice berg
...gtg so will id the others later...hope that helps
