It was a little bit of a catch 22 situation that we found ourselves in.

TASA is a website where the primary focus is to be a knowledge base of information from people's PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. Let's face it, if we want information, google, bing, yahoo will give us anything we want, but TASA takes this information one step further by providing information based on people's first hand experience.

Secondly TASA is a place where you can come to get quick response and help when needed... and again, this help and response will be (1) based on successful experience from other memners and (2) based on what is available in our country.

Where TASA differs fundamentally from other online forums is that our focus is NOT to become another social media. You can go to Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platform if that is what you are looking for.

Again, our primary focus is to provide a knowledge base, and a "troubleshooting" arena. General off topic discussions is perfectly alright if it is kept within reason. We respect the fact that because we are all humans with a common background, the social aspect will come into play. No doubt about it, I've met some great people on TASA, and the personal touch is always great.

I'm sure that most of you are aware of how the Home screen functions. The latest posts will always be on the top, and slowly move down as new threads are brought out. This can potentially be problematic for someone who may be looking for urgent assistance because his / her threads is moved off the homescreen.

Every once in a while we have a new member who "revives" a whole bunch of old threads with his/her "awe" or "thank you". Obviously this clutters up everyone's homescreens with useless information, and distracts the sole purpose of TASA.

So whilst we generally do not have a problem with off-topic discussions, we try and keep it limited to ensure that the core purpose of the forum is upheld.

The moderating team originally discussed the thread in question amongst ourselves. We had noted a few members abusing it to "increase their post count" (possibly in order to make a sale and run- i.e rape the forum). The moderating team were happy to allow the thread to continue, but contacted a few of the members out of courtesy, and to re-iterate to them the core purpose of TASA. The author of that thread then sent us a request to remove the thread. Again, the mods discussed this amongst themselves, and decided to honour that member's request.

I trust that clears everything up. There were no hard feelings, harsh words or any form of animosity regarding that thread at all.

I was the author of the thread. Originally the thread was meant to be a fun thing, but eventually people started abusing it. I did ask the Mod team to delete the thread. Thank you Mod team.
And of coarse my email page was getting cluttered with emails, but thats no the point.
