I have 2 years experience now, first was a 1.2 and now a 1.5(way bigger), lost all my fish when it cracked... now looking for some ideas, would like an planted tank but not sure if a 1.5 would be to big. If you have any idea's please say, as i have not yet tried planted, currently i have 2 Jack Dempsey, 2 Texas cichlid in with a Asian sun catfish, they still way small. Tank has a sump filer, and a 5000liter/hour vibration pump for circulation. got this light system (Odyssea Dual Pro T5 Fluorescent Light 54w x 2 (10000k tube & Actinic tube)).

Ideas please, and I'm not sure of the type of fish i want to keep got these fish as they look amazing..

What you guys think ?

This is what my tank looks like at the moment, all plants are plastic. :)

Big cichlids and planted tanks usualy end up with a fustrated owner constantly replanting and fishing little shreds of plants out constantly with a net... Maybe if you go for Java Fern and some of the bigger type of Anubias, you can get this going... But trying to make "Fyn tuin" with stems wont work...

Yeap - I agree with azurekoi .. you might be able to get some vallis going if you plants them in separate terracotta pots in the back, but even that might be a challenge. I fear you might be stuck with plastic plants amongst some java fern.
