well untill about a week ago i had a thriving community tank.now its a bit empty due to a disease thet wiped out all my fish in days.anywayz,thats for another thread.ill tell u what it was like before it went bad.i have a 5 ft tank,with a cascade 500 filter.a resun heater and a red flourescent tube light.my ph is steady at 7.5,and a temp of 28.untill last week i had 2 black marble angels,a half black angel,2 algae eaters,a red tail shark,5 fighter females,a fighter male,15 neons,10 emperors 5 silver tetras,5 white tips,5 pretty and a catfish.tank was planted with real plants,a ship and a rock formation.it was beautiful.now im left with my 3 angels,2 pretty,4 white tip,4 silver,1 neon and my catfish.no one has died in the last 2 days so i assume the worst is over.ill be waiting 4 weeks to make sure before i restock,so ill update then.might poat a pic or 2 when things are back to normal.i raised all my fish from tiny babies so im kinda heartbroken.was even considering giving them away and not starting again,but after thinking real hard,ive decided that even though its been a really tough week,that the rewards of seeing your babies grow up outweigh the negatives of watching them die.i wont let some stupid disease rob many new babies of a great caring home.
