Looks a bit more like a non aquatic bog plant - Are they loose stems or does it from from a central root? Are the leaves a purple colour underneath...?
Looks like Cryptocoryne wendtii, but need someone to second that...
I think a clearer picture will help a lot? I cannot see it particularly well on my screen? At first I did think some sort of Cryptocoryne, but I cannot see into the centre enough to tell?
I also noticed some brown stuff to the right of the plant... Is that dying leaves? Roots? Something not related to the plant at all?
How long has it been in the tank for? Have you seen it grow, or does it look like its dying off?
Regards
G!
Leaves are too long and thin for Wendtii in my opinion, not to mention the fact thats a BL (Blacklisted) species here.
Maybe wearsbunnyslippers or Laure can ID this?

G!
Thank you all for your response! That pic was taken in march, now it grows tall with central stem and very narrow leaves and is also very prone to black hair like algae. Been thinking of removing it.
I'd offer to 'house' it for you, but Jo'burgs a bit far from these shores! Hehe!
I'll see if I can get anywhere with an ID today?
Cheers
G!

If it's lasted that long,it's not the bog plant it resembled to me at 1st - have a look at Cryptocoryne beckettii"petchii" - they apear from time to time here in Gautend - think it may be that then..
Yer, I also at first thought Petchii, but the leaves again just didn't look right to me, but I'm no plant guru!
My thinking is Crytocoryne Undulata at the moment, but I still think a clearer picture will help a lot?
Nice to see some crypts growing well, regardless of what it is? Just wish I could get hold of more of these down here!
Regards
G!
