Im so glad that you guys like it.
I designed it with your comments, thoughts and especially your (our) appreciation for really stunning looking tanks.
I must say it looks even better, being part of the website, than on its own.
To reply on some of the previous comments:
Donny - The cloan loach is swimming the "A" of Aquariums. See if you can spot him, lol. Wink Wink
hein24 - Thanx for noticing that. It was one of my goals to make it look really tropical and colourful.
oscar freak - You know, now that I look at some Oscar pics, they would have fitted in really well. The neons and Discus were chosen purely based on aesthetics, i dont like them much myself. But hopefully in a few years time when we refresh the site again, il keep Mr Oscar in mind!
Nirv - Thank You for noticing those aspects of the design. Its what makes a great picture stand out from a good one. You sound like a designer yourself, maybe you could make oscar freak's dream come true!?
Firefly - Im glad the banner has caught so much of your attention, aswell as all the others on this site.

I'll hold you to it.it does look great though good job and if you just imagine it seems like i got my wish it looks like one fish is chasing the rest i'll just say its an oscar.i can even see the fear in their eyes look look can you see :)
OK on a more technical side.
How did you grow those plants in a silica based substrate :p
We cant have a logo with only sand and a single rock to accommodate a oscar :).
What strain is that pink discus, I like it :)
The Logo looks excellent! Could have maybe done with an Apisto in the forground near the bottom, or a couple of Corydoras or Zebra Pleco's? That would add to the feel I think?
I'd have also maybe have made the plants on the edge so that they are not half cut off where the logo ends, to blend it into the rest of the black. Just my ideas I guess?
Otherwise, very well done! I wish I had half your talent!

ryanj252: I'm a student of science myself, but a good portion of my family are designers and my mother is a lecturer of design, and my girlfriend has some Photoshop skills as well as being an artist, so my tastes are affected by those around me more than my own expertise :P

Just an idea...
A lot of the other forums I'm on make stickers and decals to stick on peoples' tanks. It not only can look really cool but also generates some income for the site.

Hmmm... any trial designs??
I have a small question, I see that the logo has been changed on the home screen, but whenever I open the forum, the tab still show the Siamese fighter, could this also be changes to this logo?

You'll have to speak to Rory about that. Use the correct term aswell, because it gets confusing. The TASA picture i just posted would be considered a profile picture or logo if the moderators decide to make it their logo. The picture on the top is called a banner. So check with Rory, maybe its a loading error.
Vez the icon on the tab (called a favicon) is still a siamese fighter.
