I bought 5 bronze corries a while back, one in particular has intriguedme. This cory does look like the other bronze corries. It reminds me of a Brochis that I had many years ago. Am I correct in my assumption?

Just to be different, I vote Corydoras. Compare the dorsal fin of a bronze cory to that of a Brochis. Brochis has an almost sail-like fin, extending further along the back, while Corydoras aeneus do not.

The aeneus have the small round dorsel....what about a paleatus?

Good point, Tim! I just scuttled off to my tank for another look... The brochis tail also looks quite different to LunaTic's pics. Sorry for that! My brochis's dorsal fins also don't rise so high at the front.

It is definately not an aeneus. The fins are very different to an aeneus

It may very well just be a long-finned variant of Corydoras aeneus, or a different species of Corydoras. But it's not a Brochis.
