Hey everyone I am looking for some clear PVC pipes I am thinking of building a diy inline heater but with the usual white pipe I wont know if my heater was to stop working until my tank temp dropped. Anyone know where to get this

Try the acrylic/perspex/plastic shops
There are a few places in the Jhb area

If you want to make an inline heater you should not use PVC but rather stainless steel piping. Many discuskeepers overseas that have large systems connect their central heating to their aquaria and this works very well. However, if the pipe that you would be transferring the heat would burst in the tank you would have an absolute disaster and that is why folks use stainless steel.

Kind regards,

Dirk
