thanks dude :)
are they quite common in SA lfs?
cant seem to rememeber seeing any in the lfs here in our area..
anyone know what type of tankmates etc they require?
Correction... Leporinus Affinis if I am counting correctly?
L. Fasciatus has ten black bands, L. Affinis has nine black bands.
Hope that helps

iv seen them in jhb
Hi I saw some at the wholesalers in PTA.
Did not count the stripes though :)
I've only seen one or two Leporinus Sp. in Sam's very rarely, and the occasional Anostomus Sp. (closely related). Never seen them anywhere else?
Best bet would be to ask our sponsors I guess? Otherwise, just go into whichever LFS you usually frequent, and ask them to look on their lists for the names, and see if they can order some especially for you? If I remember correctly, and don't quote me on this, I am sure they were asking around R80 a fish at Sam's? That was a while back though!
