View Full Version : My 80l room tank
Ola
Herewith pics of my 80l 2footer in my bedroom. Got about 12 - 14 cherry barbs in there, 2 apple snails, a few betta females and one male. Moss attached to the clay pot and growing.
I only do a 20% water change on this tank once every 2 months (acutally, mostly I top up on the evaporated water)
Fish fed only twice a week; I sometimes feed 3 times a week.

Great stuff! Do you test your water parameters? do you uses ferts, co2?
why do u feed them so little?
@butch - Nope, no testing on water parameters...haven't had the need to.
I use Prof Bellstedt's plant ferts....does wonders. This tank has no CO2.
@carl - Cos my bettas are in there and they adhere to a strict diet...don't want them to become lazy, overweight, etc etc, that just leads to their death quicker. Sorry the cherry barbs have to be on the receiving end of this too, but they are also all healthy and alive. The barbs are coming out of there this weekend anyway, setting a lil planted 30l tank at my mom's place for her after she begged me for a tank a few months ago.

Nice tank!! Your plants look really good!! I think you should feed your fish more than twice a week though, maybe every second day!!
Every second day sounds okay'ish, but my bettas get fat....I mean real fat. Only after about 3 - 4 days does their bodies go back to normal size. Hence, I only feed these guys twice a week.
My other bettas are much thinner, so they get food more frequently.

looking really good, nice dense planting for such a small tank real estate
what kind of plant is that one on the left with the long thin stems and the small thin leaves? it looks so bamboo-ish
I assume you talking about the one far left? If so, Eichornia diversifolia
