Hi
Does any one know what food is the best for 1 month old betta fry?
I have use microworms so far.I have read that they need microworms for their first few weeks
What food will make them grow fast?
Must I continue with microworms?
Or is there other food that is good for them?

The food Wally is referring to is a fine granulate that Dirk supplies. High in fat and Protein so it is a good food to move onto once microworms are too small. I'd also keep feeding Artemia till they are at least 6 weeks old, you get much better growth doing it.

Thanks.
I have microworms and BABY FISH FOOD for egg layers
I also have TETRA mint.
Could I crush the tetra mint and try feeding it to them?

Hi.

You can just about try and feed them anything. Just be carefull as Betta's are notoriously prone to bloat. I always look at fry feeding as a 'nutrient per gram' content. Yot can fill a child's stomach with bread only, but in nutritional value it adds very little. The use of baby brine shrimp and its importance can NEVER be overemphasized.

Marco would frozen BBS do the trick? Here in Potch we don't really have a big variety...

The use of baby brine shrimp Marco

Do I need to feed them live brine shrimp or frozen brine shrimp?
And where can I get some?
I am in the Westen Cape.

Hi Guys

Jimmy

At their age frozen would still be too big. you could MAYBE try find frozen Daphnia which could work.

Rooivlerkie

You can contact Dirk Bellstedt or Altum. both are in the cape and they can both set you up with BBS eggs
