Hi Guys
Just thought i'd share how i was making my 4ft cabinate stand.
That is looking very good Butcherman. Are you going to leave the back open?
This is cool........(hint hint to Zafgak) :D

its fully closed all round. looking to put a sump into the bottom.

got the metal stan for R250 and the wood was like R300 and Varnish and extras like handels R120... so about R680.
Jissis if you weren't in Gauteng, I would let you build me one.

A nice size tank on top of that will look nice!
Real wood, MDF? What did you use?
Hey Butcher - Thanx to your great post - Veegal wants me to make two for the 1,2m tanks and 1 for the 2m tank :(
I'll let you off the hook on the 1.2m's Zafgak - but the 2m one stands :D

i used 16mm supa wood and some woodoc for marine porposes.

sorry man. Id help but im busy plumbing in the sump and return pump, and then need to build the cabinet top for the lights :idea: maybe you can help me :bandit:hehe

That cabinet really looks good, did you make the square tubing stand as well, or was it purchased with the tank?

Oh cool - please post the pictures of the cabinet top as well.....zafgak will need to see what I want :D :D Keeping him out of mischief :):p

made the frame and bought the tank second hand from a pet shop that was closing down
