I picked up some (very much dead!) corals on a beach on the north coast. I want to display them in my freshwater community tank. How should one treat the corals?

Wont the coral keep pushing your PH up uncontrollably ?

I'll leave the corals for the marine world, they will change your water parameters as they start to dissolve.

And +1 Relborg on the PH

I had coral in my tank once, messed everything up, would recommend not using it

Malawi tank is the answer.

Take a look at my Setup.

Yeah, coral skeletons will buffer your ph and push it up in the region of about 8. So avoid anything that has a calcium based skeleton or rock forms. Unless you are putting it in a malawi tank, then it would help things!
