Hi all, I want to try and utilise the extremely soft water we have in Oudtshoorn and try and breed some tetras. Luckily the local hardware/petstore has some older fish that is already sexually mature. My options are Black neons, head and tail lights and glowlights and of course black widows. Not keep on the black widows, I am leaning towards the black neons. Has anybody got any experience or advise.

Go for the challenge and do the Head and Tail lights - personally not keen on widows either

ya, there is some real fat females in store. But same for black neons, might just try both at same time in different tanks. I am thinking of using a old 3foot setting up at my work and putting in division to separate sexes, feed good for a month and put together and see what happens.
