Post your Arowanas Large and Small, I'll start.
This is my baby Aro, between 12 and 15cm long, had him/her almost 2 months, he/she was about 8 cm when i got him/her, he/she eats crickets and bloodworms and lots of them. thats cool Henk but how do i get them up here wihout been hurt i would love to buy two but my problem in that case would be the transport and the extra costs involvd hey henk.i might end up doing that if things dont get sorted out but thanks Henk

you should be able to find them... they come in on almost every import

ok cool well im not to sure where to look for tem imports but these shosps p here seem to not have and when i saw i look i mean i have been out east west south and north of jhb even some shops in pta i found two shops who had but the arrowana was lathargic and looked quiet ill as fhe was bullied in some cases

Yes I have to keep several years of arowana and I have a farmer-fish friend in Peru who reproduced.

i have a 45cm arowana jardini in a 1000ltr corner tank its a bad ass he owns the tank when we feed blood worms he eats like a half a slab on hes own
You better start warning the neighbour's kids. When he grows up eventually, he might eat them.

hey .
just got a baby +_ 8cm aro , by sheer luck ,stay in jhb north and was in benoni for a meeting on my way home took a wrong turn and saw shop, benoni aquarium ( ???).freindly good service awsome marine section. fair prices.
been looking for aro for a while so I could not resist.any way ..hear goes again, had one about 3 years ago ,but didnt close lid proply and well you can all guess what happened.this time there aint no where for it go.

how much do these little guys eat...they just seem to eat all day long and grow overnight.poped 5 crickets in this morning as a sunday treat for my archers and the little aro took on the 2yr old archers and got 4 out 5 crickets.... Can they over eat ?

I gave them the red fish at will, it hunting when he is hungry now crickets are insects rich in protein and 5 crickets seems to me.
Vary their diet more often, crickets and live fish and also shrimp.
