Hey everyone..i am Looking for NICE echinodorus osiris and echinodorus amazonicus in cape town..anyone seen any available at any lfs?

Yeah, Tropicum at N1 City has a few swords when I last checked.

I only have 2 ech osiris, so can't part with those unfortunately. That you'll have to ask one of the sponsors to hook you up as I dont think you'll find it easily in the stores. If you do, call me too :)

hi guys...just got some sword plants during the course of this week..i need some help identifying these sword plants then i can do some reading up on them...im not good when it comes to the identity of and latin names for plants

found only this one plant amongst a whole batch of swords which came in at my lfs...leaves seem to have a sharper tip than the other sword plants

plant 1 & 4 looks like Echinodorus Rubin. Really a beautiful plant. I'm planning on getting myself two of these for my rebuild. What price did you pay for yours?

plant 3 - Echinodorus Schlueteri

plant 5 - Thinner leaves makes me think Echinodorus Grisebachii

plant 2 - Think this is Echinodorus uruguayensis

plant 6 - Get another close-up pic of this for me please...would like to see the leaf closer.

I paid R15 for the small one n R55 for the bigger one and got a small packet of flourite with it to put in the pot.the larger one is actually 2plants..are u sure it's same kind..coz the larger one aka plant 4 is WAY redder than the smaller one.

Yeah I think so....just give it time to adapt and start to grow and you'll notice the smaller one get just as red (providing it's in the correct conditions)
