i grow 7 cultivars of Nymphea in my pond.... trust me it will block light in your tank if you allow the leavesto get to big

i must say thats an awesome looking pond! The lillies look proportionate to size of the pond, so i doubt they will make it in my 3ft

Isnt that a foregone assumption with all plants in a planted tank:p

Henk Hugo

yes but you never allow the leaves to become mature so they dont block the light....

you do get a few nymphea that have a small leaf as well though, that doesn't get big and spread out much, we sell some at the nursery, i just have no idea specifically which species, the leaves have a reddish tint though

Thats interesting - i am yet to come accross any of those - i have 8 spp/cultivars and all of them make pretty big leaves.....

i'll try to find out which those are. the ultisales label just reads Water nymphea aqua lily R80 or something, not very informative

ugh, google produced "pink hardy water lily dwarf miniature" sigh, its probably some :nana: cultivar or something
