Help?

i got this ?? a few days ago from a mate who lives in south africa (I am from zimbabwe) and he had no clue what it was. all i know is that it is about 12 cm long and has an attitude from hell.. can u help? thanks7747

You're very lucky! That looks like quite a rare fish... I'm tempted to say that it might be a Pseudohemiodon spp. but that's a little bit too preemptive. I'd say it's either one of those or a very closely related species. Can you get a shot from above?

i can try he hides away under a rock this was on of the few times he came out. and i got a snap. do u know where Pseudohemiodon is from?

ah i found the ID from a bioligist mate it is a amazonus Pseudohemiodon!!! did some reseach worth a lot of money. from the amazon and only found in selected rivers in the amazon basin. anyone want a new friend for their tank! i can ship it down. dont really want him anymore!

7748 i got him here is a pic from the internet went looking everywhere for him!! its not Pseudohemiodon amazonus but it is Pseudohemiodon lamina. that just goes to show that not all bioligists are correct!.
still open for some opinions pls!!

Looks very close to P. lamina, and most likely is one. Very nice fish.

Why don't you want him? I can think of a few people back home who'd very much love to have that fish!

i get all my fish from south africa.. all i do is ship it down with my driver i have the permit and all!! i ship between my friend and i every month or so.
