I am at a loss. I have had my 20 neons , 3 kilifish, 4 angels and 2 pencil fish , all disappear.
Nitrites and Nitrates tests are clear.

Not sure what is knocking off my fish. I have a CO2 canister that diffuses a bubble per 1.5 sec.
Things have done recently. Bought 2 Rams - They battled to settle in. They were the first to disappear.
Only thing I did was clean my external canisters sponge and floss.Had not done it in 6 months thought it needed a clean. I also added some Tetra fert pellets which i inserted in the sand. My plants are doing well, but some are not thriving - Apongenant crispus are small in size and poor in colour. Lighting issue i am sure

Hey Ross

Think your problem is currently pointing to the two changes you've made.
You sure any detergent or something nasty didn't land up in your filtration during the cleaning period? ie, the spunge & floss?
Maybe the fert pellets were 'off' or something?

I'll recommend an immediate 80% to 90% water change in your tank. Don't be scared to do that...that have saved many a problems for me in the past. Dose tank with aquarium salt as well.

When you converting to T5s bru? :)

Thanks Dale.

I am looking for a 60cm T5 unit. for another tank and 100cm 5 unit for is one. Any one selling.

I will try the hue water change ad add salt. No sure that My plants will dig it though. They are first prize, then fish

Plants won't mind a small amount of salt, only when you gooi in in huge amounts do they start to dislike you. I dose my tanks with salt every so often without any negative effects on my plants

But yes, plants are definitely first prize...the fish are just 'whatever' :D lol

Why don't you buy a std electronic ballast any replace its std connectors with T-connectors and get your T5 tubes? That's what I do each time I fit T5 lights. Any LFS should have T-connectors in stock. I know Northern has a couple in stock

9/10 thats your problem Iv had the same thing happen to me countless times! they'v introduced some pathogen that your older fish have never had to build up an immunity to(in your clean tank) you gonna have to treat the hell out of your tank now otherwise the new fish you put in will also be at risk...
